How to Have A Recruiter Find You - FAST

By JoAnn Hines You are in a panic. You need a job fast and recruiters won't return your call. You don't have anything on the back burner because you thought you could just call the recruiter and get set up. After all everyone knows a recruiter or two. Well, times have changed. Recruiters hold the cards now.
So how can you prevent this from happening to you?
How can you achieve the star status necessary to ensure that recruiters are calling you before you need them to? First, it's important to understand the recruiter mindset.
A recruiter makes money through placements. Translation - they make their living by placing you in the highest paid position possible - the higher the level of the placement, the higher the fee.Ergo, the more marketable you are, the more recruiters want to work with you. It's a numbers game. A successful recruiter spends time with the most marketable resources first. The key is to make you the most marketable resource. Want to make this happen?
The process itself is easy, however, it requires planning and consistency in order to implement a solid and productive marketing plan. The more of the following action items you apply the more high profile you become. Get a Recruiter Hunting YOU.
12 Action Items -Surefire ways to get in the spotlight and have the recruiter "dialing for dollars" to get to you!! 1. Become A Speaker Or Present A Workshop.
Learn to become a public speaker or develop an industry workshop in your field of expertise. Recruiter's peruse industry conferences and program schedules for the names of experts in a given field. * Start small by speaking at local activities as. As your confidence grows take on engagements at industry functions. Everyone has to start somewhere. *Gain training and experience by attending a local Toastmasters meeting or group. * Speak at your local industry association meetings. * Sign up for a speakers bureau 2. Become An Expert.
This one will take awhile to accomplish, but your ultimate goal is to become the "Go To Person" in your field. You want colleagues to know your name. The more people who know you (and OF you) the more references you will get. Recruiters call their list of contacts to find good matches. If you are widely recognized, the recruiter will hear your name repeatedly and be compelled to call you. * Make one day a week an information day or commit yourself to an hour a day to keep informed. Ask your colleagues if they uncover something of interest to forward you a copy. * Subscribe to a clipping service that sends you "customized" news delivered to your in box. You can also set up these accounts through Yahoo, AOL, etc. 3. Get An Interview.
All major industry publications have opportunities to be interviewed. Position yourself as the spokesperson or the focal person in the interview. Recruiters will track you down because of your name and your notoriety. * Learn the key editors in the industrys most important publications. Let them know you are available to be interviewed. * Go to the publications booths at trade show and introduce yourself to editors. It always helps if they know you personally. 4. Write Articles.
Having a byline in an industry publication is an immediate signal that you are an expert. Writing for industry publications should be a regular part of your personal marketing plan. * Do some research into the publications in your field. Find out the guidelines for submitting content. * Write short article to get started then expand. Letters to the editor are also good to submit. You can showcase yourself as an expert.
TIP: Dont expect to get paid at least initially. 5. Volunteer For a High Profile Assignment.
When issues are in the news, it is time to be on that task force. Say Yes! Yes, I can. Yes, I can do that. Accept new project requests if they are related to your area of expertise.
TIP: Don't volunteer for issues that are controversial. You want your image to be positive not negative 6. Accept a Leadership Role In An Association.
Professional organizations are the first place many recruiters call when looking for qualified candidate. If you are an officer, the association will be more likely to give them your name. * Be involved in SIGS (Special interest groups), especially in areas where you can lend your expertise or gain some.
TIP: Many search professionals attend local chapter meetings hoping to network. Remember the #1 rule in networking-You have to show up! 7. Attend Trade Shows.
Recruiters are always searching for candidates at major industry trade shows. Many times they will volunteer in industry association booths to meet the members. * Check out the industry conferences and training sessions at the show. Plan to attend at least one every six months. * Be on the lookout for interesting new technologies or innovations that might impact your career.
TIP: Be a badge scanner. When you see someone from an executive search firm initiate a conversation. Ask them why they came to the show or what did they think about it 8. Register For Conferences.
The higher the profile of the conference the more recruiters will be attending. It is events like this that bring them hoping to bump into a key executive. *Go to the room early and stay late. Make a point of meeting the presenter and engaging in a few moments of conversation. Ask if you might follow up after the program and stay in touch. Many times search professionals will also be waiting to speak to this same person.
TIP: Big shots usually show up at the show the first business day, unless they are the speaker scheduled at the end of the week. 9. Keep Connected With Your Colleagues And Associates.
Make sure your peers know where you are and about your current business. You want them to think of you first when the recruiter calls them for a contact. * Send out regular press releases to your resource list. Remember, serious stuff only. Keep it short and to the point. Watch for more later on how to write a personal press release. * Be on the lookout for ways to help your associates. Newspaper & magazine articles are great when you notice a colleague's name. Clip it out and send it to them along with a quick personal note including your contact details. They will want to return the favor someday! * Make one day a week a telephone day, or commit to an hour a day to be on the phone and reconnect with the people important to you. 10. Become An Award Winner.
Enter industry competitions. Every one loves a winner. This will gain you both company and industry press. It translates into major visibility. *Get your name in the spotlight by submitting, promotions, awards, relocation's, etc. *Tip: Send a copy of your press release to the recruiters with whom you are most interested in working. 11. Research Recruiter Websites.
When you find a site you like, ask for an article that has been written or get more information about the company. Start a dialogue before you are actually looking for a recruiter. Make sure they know you are networking and not looking presently. You don't want your current employer to hear about it and misunderstand. * Ask to be added to the mailing list or email list. Most firms have one. Use this as a door opener to get a dialogue started. * Find out what organizations they belong to. Make a point of attending those association meetings. 12. Get a Personal Business Website.
Not one that includes friends and family. Make it your online portfolio. List your skill sets, accolades, attributes and area of expertise. Showcase your success. Paint a picture that makes people want to know more about you. * Hotlink industry associations to your site. Many times search professionals will discover you through that method. Is it God's Will?

By Brian Parker How do we truly know what is God's will. When people speak of God's will they are referring to one of two things. God's desire and God's decree. God is in control of everything at all times. He is omniscient, omnipresent and without flaw. No matter what any of us say or do, everything will happen just as God has decreed. God loves it when we are a part of his works, but whether we participate or not God's decree will be done. The trick is to discern if what we do is God's desire. Thankfully, the Bible is here to let us know exactly what we should and should not do in life. To understand it's teaching all one must do is read it. Anyone that can read the Bible has the ability to understand and follow the Word of God. In fact if someone tells you that they have to discern the Bible for you, I would be Leary of that person and consider them a false prophet. Do not try to make the Bible say what you want it to say. Just read it as it literally states. If what you do in life is in accordance with the teachings and doctrine of the Bible. You can feel save in the fact that you have done God's desire and it was God's will for you to do it. Let us Pray.
Heavenly Father please let us follow your teachings and live by your law.
Please make us better servants for you and prepare us for your good work.
Wherever we may be, please let us be found in your Word.
We love you Heavenly Father and we thank you for everything.
For we ask it in Jesus sweet and Holy name.
Amen Brian Parker

Relationship Advice: After the Affair - 5 Steps to Recovery

By Jeff Herring Affairs must be in the air.Affairs seem to be everywhere. I know I have seen many accounts of them in my office in the last few months. One of the observations I have made is that every single one of us is vulnerable. A popular myth is that an affair always ends the marriage. While some marriages do end when there is an affair, the reality is that any couple can survive and grow past an affair, if they are committed to doing at least a few things: 1. The affair must end; the person who had the affair must cut ties to the person who was part of the affair. 2. The other spouse has to deal with the sense of anger, betrayal and the other ugly emotions that come with this territory. 3. The spouse who had the affair must genuinely apologize for the harm caused. 4. Trust has to be rebuilt. 5. Both spouses need to look honestly at how this could happen, and look honestly at their contributions in the affair. I've taken some flack for the following statement, but both spouses have an equally difficult road ahead. If you do the necessary things to recover, the relationship can very well grow to be better than before. Visit SecretsofGreatRelationships.com for tips and tools for creating and growing a great relationship. You can also subscribe to our f*r*e*e 10 day e-program on how to enrich your relationship today, from relationship coach and expert Jeff Herring. MDA Vario Smaller and Faster

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Keith_Rickwood]Keith Rickwood Pocket PCs and smartphones were two entirely different categories not so long ago. But as the technology advances, the differences in features, performance, size, weight are blurring rapidly. The MDA Vario is one step further to unify these two separate devices. The MDA Vario can be best described as a Pocket PC with the convenience of a smartphone. The MDA Vario is surprisingly small when compared to any Pocket PC but looks a bit bulky compared to 'slim' phones. But with the unending list of features packed inside, you'd be easily amazed how could anyone squeeze in so much into something so small. With dedicated keys for calls and a navigation pad, the MDA Vario looks like any smartphone, but things get hotter when you horizontally slide the display to reveal to Qwerty keyboard. The display too changes from portrait to landscape once the keyboard is out and so is very comfortable to write as well as to browse the Internet. The MDA Vario works on Windows Mobile 2005, have a 200 MHz processor, 64 MB DDR SD RAM, 128 MB ROM, memory expandable with miniSD cards and supports all the four bands GSM mobile network. The PDA can format MS office documents and also sports an improved mobile Internet explorer. The Direct Push technology used in the MDA Vario allows you to receive emails instantly without instructing softwares to check for mails. The Internet connection speed is comparable with broadband with Wi-Fi 802.11b/g. Many other connectivity options like USB and Bluetooth 2.0 is available with the 'old fashioned' Infra red. The PDA also boasts of Class 10 GPRS/EDGE. Click a snap or two with the 1.3 megapixel camera with dedicated key, or enjoy your share of music on the media player with stereo speakers. The MDA Vario also houses high quality Java games for you to test your gaming skills. With the MDA Vario, you're never out of fun, yet never far from work. Where are the Top Nursing Schools?

By Kriss Standke Selecting the right Nursing School can be as important as the Degree you'll earn there. Cost and convenience are all too often the determining factors in where to attend Nursing College. When looking into the Top Nursing Schools, remember that just like any other purchase, you get what you pay for. Nursing Schools, like all other private schools, are competing for your dollar. With more competition comes more options, resulting in better training, equipment, more qualified instructors, new and up to date classes, and better computers, just to name a few. Attending a Nursing School in a larger city has some good advantages. One big advantage is the Nursing Internship opportunity at the bigger hospitals. These larger cities may also have better public transit systems allowing students easy transportation from home to school and work. Schools in big cities seem to offer more student services and activities as well. While class sizes may be larger, facilities, housing, and diversity of the student population will make the experience of learning that much better. Things to look into when deciding on a Nursing School should include what courses are offered, are the teachers qualified to do what they teach, how much is the average graduate earning today and so on. These are just a few of the important factors that will weigh on your decision as to where to attend Nursing School. Finding a Nursing School that offers classes and training for a specific Nursing field plays a large roll in deciding where to study. The best thing to do is to decide on a field of interest and then find a Nursing School to meet the requirements of that specialty. Don't pick a Nursing School before you know what type of nurse you want to become. Once you know what type of nurse you want to become, finding the best Nursing School will be much easier. The school's curriculum will be the easiest way do make a decision at this point. Nursing opportunities are prevalent today in every state. The population in America is getting older and will be demanding more quality health care in the coming years. The pressure is on the Medical and Nursing Schools to turn out more qualified graduates in the health care fields to assure that the needs of the population can be met. As you can see, the Best Nursing Schools are not always the most expensive or conveniently located. Finding the right Nursing School and getting the right education is as important to your success as the degree you will earn in the process. The most important decision is the choice of fields, the school to attend will come out of that choice. Research now and reap the benefits of a great education for the rest of your life! This article was written by Kriss Standke who is an accomplished Webmaster and publisher of Nursing Schools Guide, as well as Medical Training Spot where he provides detailed and informative articles, tips, and advice on Nursing Schools, Nursing Jobs, Online Nursing Schools and More. Herbalism

By Susun Weed Herbalism, the use of plants for health and healing, is as old as humanity, if not older. In hunting/gathering societies, women are naturally the herbalists. This connection between women and herbs continues today. At the turn of the Century, herbalism in America is undergoing a renaissance. Throughout most of the rest of the world, especially in countries where women's wisdom has traditionally been honored, herbalism remains, as ever, the treatment of choice for many acute and most chronic health problems. Herbal medicine is a complex and daunting study; yet it is the medicine of the people and so simple that children safely apply it. THE WISE WOMAN TRADITION The earliest known herbalism is the Wise Woman Way: the way of our foremothers out of Africa, our ancient female ancestors. Herbalism is still used and respected in many places, especially the Orient, the mid-East, and India. Wise women view herbs as spiritual allies and intrinsically important foodstuffs as well as medicines. Psychoactive plants are both teachers and healers, and are used, under the guidance of the herbalist/shaman, by all members of the community. Compassion, connection, community, and honor for the Earth characterize Wise Woman herbalism. The nourishing herbal infusions, mineral-rich vinegars, and edible herbs favored by wise women are generally considered safe, even in quantity, for all women, including those pregnant and lactating. Favorite herbs include nourishing tonics such as nettle, red clover, oatstraw, comfrey leaf, linden, dandelion, seaweed, and burdock. THE HEROIC TRADITION In Europe, and then in the Americas, the Inquisition targeted Wise Woman herbalists/midwives and (often through torture and murder) replaced them with male Heroes, who used herbs to drive out the devils of illness from the hated body. Herbs that caused catharsis and purging were elevated, as was blood-letting. The Heroic tradition, despising all things female, licensed only men as healers. Anyone who practiced without a license (women) was persecuted. Some escaped to the Americas, learned Native American herbal medicine, and served their communities - only to be vilified and replaced by school-trained male physicians from England several generations later. The Heroic tradition is still popular in Europe and in Latin and Black communities throughout the Americas. Domination, mentation, isolation, and distrust of the Earth (who is female and therefore considered sinful and dirty) characterize Heroic medicine. Favorite herbs include powerful stimulants and sedatives such as cayenne, lobelia, valerian, ephedra, golden seal, cascara sagrada, turkey rhubarb, and aloes. Most Heroic herbs are dangerous to women, especially if pregnant or lactating. THE SCIENTIFIC TRADITION Where the practice of medicine becomes dominated by linear, either/or thinking, the Scientific tradition replaces the Heroic. Women and their connection to herbs are again vilified, as quacks, rather than as witches. The quest for powerful drugs brings plants to the laboratory, where active ingredients are extracted, concentrated, isolated, standardized, sanitized, and ultimately synthesized. Plants are raw materials, crude, inexact, and unpredictable. Approximately 85 percent of the hundreds of thousands of drugs currently used are directly or indirectly derived from plants; eg foxglove (digitalis compounds), Pacific yew (cancer drug), wild yam (cortisone, birth control pills), and chinchona (quinine). Drugs and drug-like herbs cause severe side effects and should not be self-administered by pregnant and lactating women. EXPLORING HERBAL MEDICINE: RESOURCES Achterberg, Jeanne. A Day in the Life of a Freelance Copywriter

By Glenn Murray Ever wanted a job where you could spend all day, every day, writing clever and inspiring prose? Yes? Well dont become a freelance copywriter! Dont get me wrong, its a great job, and for some of us its a calling that wont be denied. And you definitely do get to write clever and inspiring prose. Its just that you dont do it all day, every day. In fact, when you sit down at the end of the day and think about what youve done, the percentage of time spent writing is surprisingly low. So what does a freelance copywriter do other than write copy? Well, basically, they run a business. This article discusses 11 daily rituals involved with running a freelance website copywriting or advertising copywriting business (other than writing). It also provides some tips for performing them successfully. 1) Quoting Freelance copywriters serve many masters. They generally have quite a few clients, and spend quite a bit of time quoting on new jobs. When you quote, youre calculating how much to charge for the job. For a freelance copywriter, there are a number of important factors influencing quoting. You need to have some way to accurately estimate time. Generally the best way to achieve this is to be diligent in your tracking. If you know how long past jobs have taken you, youll be much more confident and accurate in your estimates. You need to know how much time you spend not writing (as you should try to cover as much of this as possible). You need to have a feel for what the client is prepared to pay (are they a big or small company, how highly do they seem to value copy, etc.). You need to know how much your competitors are charging for the same thing. You need to understand what differentiates you from your competitors. You need to think about how badly you want or need the work. And, of course, you need to estimate how time-consuming the client will be. 2) Submitting Proposals A quote is not the same as a proposal. A quote is generally contained within a proposal, but its not the same thing. When you submit a copywriting proposal, youre marketing your skills, your solution, your work ethic, your customer service, your commitment, and your experience. Basically, youre justifying your price, and differentiating yourself from your competition. And its not just about WHAT you say. Its also HOW you say it and how you PRESENT it. Everything about your proposal plays a part in the clients decision! If possible, include additional helpful information. Use a title page, a table of contents, headers, and footers. Introduce at the beginning and summarise at the end. Include your price, but call it an investment, not a cost. Show the client youve thought their job through by summarising their requirements. Outline your proposed solution. And most importantly, give the client a clear call to action (Where to from here?). 3) Chasing reviews The freelance copywriter is almost never the bottleneck in a copywriting job. In 99.99% of copywriting jobs, the bottleneck is the review process. Most clients take a long time to review. In fact, about a third of clients need to be prompted at least once before theyll get back to you with their changes. Its not uncommon for a one-day writing job to take a full month to reach sign-off or longer. Some clients will put the copy review on the backburner for months (just another reason to request a deposit before commencement of work)! As a result, freelance advertising copywriters and website copywriters spend a lot of time chasing reviews. Make sure you factor the delay and the chasing time into your quotes as best you can. And always record which clients take a long time, so you can be prepared when discussing deadlines on the next job. 4) Project scheduling & tracking No matter whether you work on big projects or small, project scheduling and tracking are vital. You need to know the exact status of all work in progress (tracking), and you also need to be very aware of whats coming up and how youll manage it (planning). If youre doing it right, you should be using your tracking and planning tools several times a day. In fact, they should be the hub of your business. TIP: A good way to track copywriting projects is to use a job (and contact) tracking database. I created my own database using Microsoft Access. Click to download a 208KB working copy for FREE. Youll need Microsoft Access 2000 to run it. Im no database expert, so its not a work of art. Itll certainly get you started though. (TIP: When using the database, press Ctrl + ; to enter todays date.) 5) Accounting Issuing invoices, processing payments (and part payments), chasing outstanding invoices, recording expenses, managing bank accounts, putting tax aside It all takes a lot of time. Dont be fooled into thinking you can handle your accounts manually (or with Microsoft Excel). Even if you only have a few clients, you NEED a proper accounts package like MYOB or Quicken (they both offer small business versions). Youll understand why the first time you do your GST reports or annual taxes. In fact, youll understand why whenever you need to chase down outstanding invoices 6) Visiting clients Although the wonders of modern email let a freelance copywriter get through about 95% of their work without ever leaving the office, its sometimes still a good idea to do things the old-fashioned way especially if you expect to work with them quite a bit. Shake hands and put a face to a name. And remember, everything about the meeting reflects on you and your business. As with your proposals, think about WHAT you say, HOW you say it, how you PRESENT. Always organise the meeting with plenty of notice, confirm the day before the meeting, be on time, summarise the meeting, and provide a call to action. (Try to do these last two both at the end of the meeting and via email after the meeting.) 7) Office admin Even for a low overhead business like copywriting, theres always something! Changing phone plans, upgrading/fixing computers, your internet service is down, your website is temporarily unavailable, youre enhancing your data storage procedures, you need new printer or fax ink cartridges Office administration takes up a surprisingly large chunk of your day. Make sure you allow for it. This means allowing time to do the work, and factoring that time into your quotes. If you dont, youll be continually working into the wee hours and/or losing money. 8) Marketing strategy How do you generate business? Cold calls? (See http://www.divinewrite.com/coldcallingcopywriter.htm.) Website? (See http://www.divinewrite.com/articles.htm for numerous website & SEO articles.) Networking? Word of mouth? Repeat business? Agencies? (See also http://www.divinewrite.com/freelancecopywriting.htm for some tips on succeeding as a freelance copywriter.) No matter what your strategy, you need to give it the time it deserves. Its a good idea to average around an hour a day to thinking about and implementing marketing strategy. 9) Industry research Stay up to date on the latest copywriting industry research. Read research on usability, readability, and scannability (visit Jakob Nielsen's website on usable information technology or GoodExperience.com and subscribe to their newsletters). Read up on search engine optimization (see http://www.divinewrite.com/SEOCEO.htm or try subscribing to a newsletter from WebProNews.com or Site-Reference.com). Try to track how day-to-day language is changing (what buzz words to use, what buzz words to avoid, what rules are being overlooked in spoken English, what sounds make a positive impression on people, etc.). Know the difference between writing for the web versus writing for print versus writing for search engines (see http://www.divinewrite.com/articles.htm for some relevant articles). If you want to scratch the surface, spend 10 minutes every day. 10) Subject matter research Whether its website copywriting or advertising copywriting, to do a good job, you need to know a lot about your subject material. This means both specific knowledge about the clients product or service as well as more generic domain knowledge. Clients have a tendency to not supply enough information. Make sure you interview them thoroughly. And then let them know youll probably need to ask further questions. Even then, you may find yourself doing a bit of independent research. The Internet is your saviour, but always run any information by your client before publishing. When youre quoting on a job, try to figure out how much detail the client will be able to supply. You can even ask them to estimate how much theyll supply (i.e. All, Most, Some, or None). This is a good technique as it gets them thinking about your requirements while at the same time giving you some idea how much time youll spend researching. 11) Planning In one important respect, website copywriting and advertising copywriting are no different from any other form of writing; planning is vital. For more specific planning information, see http://www.divinewrite.com/benefits.htm and http://www.divinewrite.com/webbenefitwriting.htm. How To Choose Your Wedding Photographer

By Brian Tremblay Lets face it, marriage is forever. One time; one chance to get it all right. And when its over and the food is eaten, the flowers have wilted, the tuxes have been returned, and the wedding dress is boxed up and put away. All thats left are the memories and The photographs. There are many wedding planning books that make recommendations on what percentage of your wedding budget should be spent on photography. Ive heard anywhere from 7 14%. Ive also seen some really silly suggestions like: Have friends take pictures at your wedding Get a family friend with a really good camera to do your wedding photography In my many years in business Ive had many couples not hire me because they thought they could get a cheaper alternative by following these suggestions or hiring someone less than a professional. Ive also had a lot of customers come to me asking if I could work with the images they got from the cheaper alternative and make them into the beautiful samples they see in my studio. Ive actually had brides who came in for consultations, decided not to hire me only to return later to tell me how sorry they were they didnt hire me because they had a horrible experience with a cheaper alternative. It happens all the time. So, here are some tips to try and not become one of those who were sorry after the fact that they didnt hire a trusted professional to photograph their wedding. The Consultation When youre ready to consider photography for your wedding call a variety of photographers and schedule a consultation. Most photographers offer them at no charge. This will give you a chance to see a wide variety of their work and see how they handle a wedding from start to finish. The photographer will also be able provide you with pricing. I look forward to meeting potential wedding couples! It gives me a chance to show off my services and get to know them a little better. I feel its not always just about the prices and albums that a photographer offers. I like to see if Im a match for the couples personality. After all, youre going to be spending a lot of time with your wedding photographer; you should at least like him or her and enjoy spending time with them. I usually end up taking a lot of photos and like it when the couple has left a lot of time in between the ceremony and the reception to take photographs. Ill shoot until I run out of ideas or run out of time! Usually I run out of time. Here are few things you should ask of the photographer during your consultation: Are the proofs included with every package? Do you get to choose what pictures go in the albums that are in the package? Does the photographer have a limit on the amount of photographs he takes at a wedding? Are engagement portraits included with the wedding photography packages? Is retouching included in all the prints or is it extra? Does the photographer have any limitations on how many family and extended family portraits he takes at your wedding? Im sure there are a lot more questions, but these are the most practical ones. There are plenty of wedding planner books out there that have many silly questions to ask photographers. I can tell you with absolute certainty that these questions didnt come from a trained professional photographer and will not get you a better photographer. The Package Most photographers sell their wedding photography in package, or ensemble, form. Thats the way I offer it to my clients. Many choose the ala cart method, but this can run you many dollars in buying add ons after add ons. A lot of couples want to make their own images and albums, but the truth is they never end up having time. The images sit in a box somewhere waiting while the couple gets busy building their life together, their home and maybe their family. Before you know it youve forgotten all about your photographs. The Style Have a close look at the style of the photographers work. It will be the indicator of how your wedding will end up looking. Some things to look for are: How does the photographer handle light and shadows? Do the images really convey a feeling and story? Are the images lit all the same way making them flat and uninteresting? Does he use shadow as well as light to show shape and form? Is there a variety of candid or photo journalistic images as well as posed? I rely on the ambient and natural light that is found in the room or outdoors. This brings shape and mood to the images like no other. Some photographers always shoot with flash that often lights the images smooth and even making them flat and lifeless. I allow the image to go soft giving them a painterly quality. After all, you do want to capture the mood and the artistic merit of the images and have something that can hang on the wall in a timeless fashion that is like an art piece. The Decision Once youve see all the photographers work its time to book them! Photographers will ask for a non-refundable retainer. This is applied to the finished package price. Dont worry if your wedding is still two years away. I book weddings that early on a regular basis. Unfortunately many dont see it that way and often miss out on prime wedding dates. Be sure that when you put a retainer down on wedding photography that you are not going to suffer from price increases if your wedding is still a year or two off. Others wont book two years in advance because they know theyre going to have price changes and want to end up charging you more. With my clients, once they sign the contract with the retainer, I guarantee the prices. Theyre locked in. The Wedding Day On the day of your wedding youll know youve chosen competent professionals to handle your affair. In order to get the best photos you should relax and let the photographer guide you through the process. I like my couples and wedding parties to relax and have fun and let me capture that. Its a guaranteed good time and great photographs when that happens. Be themselves and let their personalities shine through. If my couples follow this advice I guarantee them GREAT photographs! Choosing the Right Roses

By Steve Welker There are an extremely large number of rose varieties available at this time, most of these varieties are suitable to raise in your home garden. With so many different types to choose from deciding which roses to grow can seem more like a difficult task than a part of the fun of growing roses. By keeping just a few important factors in mind you can simplify this task and put the fun back into selecting your roses. Color How will a particular color of rose look in your garden, be sure to look at other peoples gardens and in magazines to see how different color arrangements work together. For some people the color of the roses will not be a very important consideration for others it will be one of the most important. Either way you will need to be sure that the color will complement the other colors in your garden and not clash with what you already have in place. Size Size will also be an important factor, how will the roses look in your garden once they have grown to their full height. Can your garden aesthetically support twenty-foot roses or will you need to stick with a species that only grows to about eight feet high. You will need to measure your garden before you start looking for roses. You will need to know the width and height of your garden to aid in selecting the proper roses. Your roses will need adequate room to grow and will need enough exposure to sunlight and air to thrive. If you have limited space you might want to consider growing miniature roses instead. Miniature roses require much less space and our easy to care for and maintain. Climate While characteristics that deal with the visual appeal of roses like the height and color are important the most important considerations are the ones that deal with how well the roses will be able to thrive. The climate that the rose needs for proper growth is one of these, if the climate the rose needs does not match with your local climate these roses will never grow very well. For example if you live in an area that has long cold winters you will need to select varieties of roses that can tolerate cold weather. Maintenance How much time do you want to spend maintaining your roses? Do you live in your garden or are you a busy individual that only has small amounts of time to devote to their garden. Some roses require very high levels of maintenance, while these roses are quiet beautiful and would be a stunning addition to any garden you have to have the time and dedication to make them thrive. If you select a high maintenance rose and do not devote the necessary time to them you will be very disappointed with the results. There are roses on the market today known as "Modern Roses"; these are beautiful plants with a great fragrance and long lasting blooms. However they are also prone to disease and very high maintenance. On the other hand you have "Old Garden Roses" these plants may not be quite as beautiful as the modern roses but they have been specially bred to be very disease prone and to only require minimal maintenance and care. They usually bloom for several months at a time and also have a very strong and pleasant scent. This strong scent can cause problems for people with allergies to fragrances. If that could be an issue for you should consider "shrub roses", these are also long blooming plants with a strong resistance to disease without the strong fragrance. If this is your first time attempting to raise roses you might want to consider "landscape roses", they are very easy to care for and disease resistant. Landscape roses will add a great deal of beauty to any garden. If you have trellises around your home you might want to consider one of the varieties of climbing roses. These are very similar to landscape roses except that they grow upward like a vine. Beyond First Date To Second Or Third Date

By Christine Akiteng So you made it through the first date with this new man/woman and he/shes intrigued you. You find him/her attractive, enjoyable to be around, and with the little bit of information youve been able to obtain at your first contact, he/she seems to meet some of your personal requirements and needs for a potential lover thus far. So now you want to get your date's attention, pique his/her interest, but how do you do it? In dating, it's not only what you do, but also what you don't do that makes the difference between getting a second, third or even fourth date and never hearing from the person again. Here are some of the key things to remember as you transition from a first date to a second date to a relationship. 1. Avoid asking for a second date right away Try always to avoid asking for a date on the date. Preferably suggest "I'd like to see you again," rather than ask "what are you doing Friday?". Exchange telephone numbers and leave a memorable last impression. If the first date went great, both of you will spend the next day or two analyzing every word and every gesture to convince yourselves that it really was as good as it was. Women usually expect the man to call first. Some guys are knocked over to meet women confident enough to call them but most men are not. And most not "too eager' guys will call after three or four days from the first date - realistically may be a week. If you are the one asking for a second date, keep it short and sweet. 2. Be real When you can not express your true identity, you lose perspective on who you are and how to act in a relationship. People who have been hurt so much or suffer from low self-esteem may attempt to conceal their true identity in order to protect themselves but no matter who you are trying to be, that real you is bound to come out. 3. Do not bring baggage from past relationships Many singles bring baggage from old relationships into the new relationships. They unconsciously expect the same response from the person they are dating: watching his/her every move, waiting for something to go wrong- and it usually does. The fastest way to make someone run away is to constantly bring up the difficulties in your life caused by others. As a smart single, be aware that if a person has a lot of drama in his or her life, theyll bring it into yours. 4. Make no assumptions This rule is timeless. Many singles tend to go on dates with expectations and assumptions but it gets worse, after a few good dates, some singles may begin to get the idea that they are now an item. Do not assume that because you've fallen for someone, that person feels the same way about you. Allow the other person to reach that point on his or her own and be aware that he or she may never feel the way you feel. Forcing a relationship that hasn't yet developed may prove detrimental. 5. Keep all potential romance doors open This one especially applies to men. If a woman senses nothing but friendly intent from you, boom: into the friend/brother category you go. While it is good to be friendly and "nice", craving approval may actually undermine your relationships and happiness. In dating, it can be disastrous. My suggestion to you is to make it very clear what your intentions are. That means don't entertain stories about other guys she's interested in. Don't accept to go to the movies when her first choice guy (or girlfriend) is unavailable etc. Make it clear you want to be the man in her life. 6. Lighten up! Some singles, especially women make the big mistake of attempting to lay down the law too soon. They are so eager to bring up what they will and won't stand for when dating a man that they forget that its just a date and you are simply getting to know the person. Never put too many demands to force the person to make a decision prematurely. 7. Avoid focusing on money On a first or even second date never ask someone how much they make and if their credit is good, unless you were expecting them to show up with check stubs, bank statements and credit reports in hand. Also avoid spending extravagantly too soon. Keep it at the pace at which you want the relationship to progress. That way, no one feels that the other is trying to get him/her to owe them or is using them. 8. Avoid sex too soon Introducing sexual intimacy into the relationship too quickly may be the quickest route to the demise of healthy and long-term relationship. Keep those pants on and hormones in check! Unless you want to define your budding relationship solely by sex, jumping into bed too quickly can confuse and blur your assessment process. Sex does change things and you dont want to sabotage a potentially good thing by being sexual too early before a foundation of trust, rapport, and security has been established between the two of you. So, cool it for now. It will be that much hotter when the time is right! 9. Accept that rejection is a part of life You may think you've met the one but he or she doesn't return your call after the second time you called, or your e-mails keep bouncing back to you, or you page him/her to no avail. Like acceptance, rejection is just part of life. Keep it in perspective, take responsibility for your actions, learn from it but more than that regroup quickly and get back in the game. The fact that some one isn't interested doesn't mean that you don't have excellent attributes and talents. To not risk rejection is to not live life. 10. When you're in doubt be patient and persistent Happiness is likely to be just a date away! Breast Enlargement for Men and Women!

By Graeme Ramsey While breast implants have proven to date to be the most effective method of breast enlargement there are some natural alternatives that dont require surgery. In recent years there have been many breast enhancement and breast enlargement supplements and techniques that have been introduced to the market to cater for the every growing demand from women and surprisingly enough men. Yes it is true that male breast enlargement and enhancement has gained a lot in popularity in recent times with more men than ever looking for solutions similar to women. Natural breast enlargement products include everything from pumps to pills and creams.
There are some methods that are effective but most of them are as effective as a sugar pill.
They might make you feel good for a short while but they are unlikely to have any effect on the size of your breasts. Many women who would like to enhance their breasts are trying these alternative methods and the reports are mixed as to whether they are happy with the results. Because of the chemical and biological differences between men and women they cannot expect to have the same results from the use of the herbal solutions that are on the market. There is a well know course that details an effective method of non-surgical breast enlargement and it is getting positive recommendations from many happy customers both men and women. Many women choose to use alternative methods of natural breast enlargement because they do not want to expose themselves to the potential side effects that are associated with surgical breast enlargement operations. Another factor that is appealing is the comparatively low cost price of non-surgical or natural breast enlargement. Graeme Ramsey maintains the Comprehensive Body, Health and Fitness website http://www.totalbodyandhealth.com that is updated on a daily basis with the latest health and fitness information and articles on medical conditions, alternative health and much more. Are You a New Creation?

By Mark E. Baker 2 Corinthians 5:17. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Salvation - The New birth. When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord, Savior and Redeemer , You were Born again. You - Your inner man, your spirit - was reborn. You literally (actually) became a new creation! Sin causes spiritual death.
Until you were born again, and accepted Jesus as your Savior, Redeemer - you were spiritually dead. John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:15-17: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. When you believe in Jesus, you are born again, you are a new creation. But what does that mean- New Creation? It means that Jesus died on the cross for you! He went to hell and defeated Satan for you!
And in 3 days, the power of God raised Him from the dead as the first born of God. The first born again man, the first reborn man, the first new creation.
Jesus was called the only begotten of God in the Gospels. After the Gospels He is called the first begotten, except where it is referring back to Him. If He's the first begotten and no longer the only begotten, then there must be more. We don't use the Word begotten in today's English, it means born, or born of, the first born of God. If Jesus was the first born, and the Word of God says He was, then there was a second born and a third born and so on Acts 13: 29-34,37,38: And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a tomb. But God raised him from the dead; and for many days he appeared to those who came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now his witnesses to the people. And we bring you the good news that what God promised to the fathers, this he has fulfilled to us their children by raising Jesus; as also it is written in the second psalm, 'Thou art my Son, today I have begotten thee.' And as for the fact that he raised him from the dead, no more to return to corruptionbut he whom God raised up saw no corruptionLet it be known to you therefore, brethren, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, The Life giving power of God, raised Jesus from the dead and changed Him from
corruptible to incorruptible. The Bible says so! The Word of God tells us Jesus became sin, This is not saying He sinned, He became Your and my sin, who else's sin could He become? That same power God used to raise Jesus from the dead, is the Same Power God will use to restore your spirit! He will give to you the right to be a Son of God. He will make You literally A NEW CREATION. -- American Standard Ephesians 2:1: And you did he make alive, when ye were dead through your trespasses and sins, We were already alive in the physical sense weren't we? Of course we were. That sounds silly to say such a thing, we were spiritually dead, We had to be made alive, we had to be reborn. Paul said in the book of Romans Romans 7:9 I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died. 10. And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death. 11. For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me. 12. Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.
13. Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful. Paul was not talking about His physical life, if He was dead physically, he could not have written this. That may sound like an obvious point, but I want you to see that Paul is talking about his spirit. The Word tells us that the wages of sin is death. He said here
But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me. We know that he was not talking about his physical life at this point. Sin causes spiritual death. -- Webster's Bible 1 Corinthians 1:18: For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish, foolishness; but to us who are saved, it is the power of God. When you are born again--- you are born of incorruptible seed.
THAT INCORRUPTIBLE SEED IS THE VERY LIFE OF GOD! -- Webster's Bible 1 Peter 1:23: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. -- Webster's Bible John 5:26: For as the Father hath life in himself, so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; The Father has Life. He has granted life to His Son, Jesus!
This Life we are talking about is the ABSOLUTE LIFE OF GOD!
The Greek word is Zo- it means the absolute Life of God. Life as God has it.
The Life of God in Jesus!
It means ALL THE LIFE GOD HAS TO GIVE! -- American Standard 1 John 1: 1-3: That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we beheld, and our hands handled, concerning the Word of life (and the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare unto you the life, the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us); that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you also, that ye also may have fellowship with us: yea, and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ: When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior that eternal life, that Zo Life, came to dwell in you! YOU BECAME A NEW CREATION - WITH THE LIFE OF GOD IN YOU!
The Zo Life - all the Life God has to give - comes into you and changes you!
It remakes your spirit! Your spirit, the real you, is born again! Old things are passed away! Your sinful nature is dead.
You are a literal New Creature! A new spirit being - a God filled, Zo Life, filled creature. You have in you the absolute life of God. You have in you all the Life God has to give. This Zo Life is the very life and nature of God!
All the Life God has to give abides in you, forever if you have received Jesus Christ as your Savior.!
You are a New Creature! You are new, the old has passed away! If you want to know for sure that you are a child of God, and want to receive this life, then I would like to introduce you to my Lord, all you have to do is pray this prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. Your word says, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. (Jn.6:37), So I know You wont cast me out, but You take me in, And I thank you for it. You said in your Word, "whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.'' (Ro. 10:13).
I am calling on Your name, So I know You have saved me now, You also said, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation. (Ro.10:9,10).
I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe He was raised from the dead for my justification. And I confess Him now as my Lord, Because Your Word says, with the heart one believes to righteousness and I do believe with my heart, I have now become the righteousness of God in Christ. (2 Cor. 5:21),
And I am saved! Thank You, Lord!
I can now truthfully say, I see myself as a born again child of God! Glory to God!!!! Amen. NOW YOU ARE A NEW CREATION! Read and Meditate on the Following Confession:
Say it to yourself over and over until you get it into your spirit, (your inner man). CONFESSION I have Gods Life in me! I have Gods Nature in me!
I am a New Creation.
Old things are passed away.
My sinful nature is passed away.
I have Gods nature in me - Gods nature is Righteousness and Love.
I am the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
There is therefore, no condemnation to me, because I am in Christ Jesus, A New Creation!
I have been created by The Life of God - in Righteousness, Holiness and Truth.
I am the Righteousness of God in Christ and I walk in His Righteousness and Love Every Day!
Glory to God amen. I was raised Catholic, and was born again at the age of 17. I received God's call into ministry at the age of 19 and began to prepare for ministry. I graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in 1979. The Lord has called me to teach. My desire is to help all that are seeking to come into a deeper understanding of what God has done for us through Christ Jesus and I have started a web site for this purpose called The Olive Branch; Please visit us for more free studies and resources to help you on your journey.

Wrath

By Mellody Davis Some people may ask what is the wrath of God, and what does it do, to whom, and why? Some may ask is wrath the judgement of God? The dictionary explains wrath as being anger, rage, fury, and displeasure. Well lets see what the Bible says. Look at 2Chhornicles 36:15 it says The Lord, the God of their fathers, sent word to them through his messengers again and again, because he had pity on his people and on his dwelling place. But they mocked Gods messengers, despised his words and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath of the Lord was aroused against his people and there was no remedy. He brought up against them the king of the Babylonians, who killed their young men with the sword in the sanctuary, and spared neither young man nor young woman old man or aged. God handed all of them over to Nebuchadnezzar. Now look at Psalm 2:1 it says Why do the nations conspire and the people plot in vain? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against his Anointed One. Let us break their chains, they say, and throw off their fetters. The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying I have installed my King on Zion, on my holy hill. Look at Psalm 76:10 it says Surely your wrath against men brings you praise, and the survivors of you wrath are restrained. Make vows to the Lord your God and fulfill them; let all the neighboring lands bring gifts to the One to be feared. He breaks the spirit of rulers; he is feared by the kings of the earth. Look at Proverbs 15:1 it says A gentle answer turns away wrath,, but a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly. The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good. Now look at Jeremiah 25:15 it says This is what the Lord the God of Israel, said to me: Take from my hand this cup filled with the wine of my wrath and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it. When they drink it, they will stagger and go mad because of the sword I will send among them. Now look at Jeremiah 25: 29 it says See, I am beginning to bring disaster on the city that bears my Name, and will you indeed go unpunished? You will not go unpunished, for I am calling down a sword upon all who live on the earth, declares the Lord Almighty. Now look at Jeremiah 25:32 is says: This what the Lord Almighty says: Look! Disaster is spreading from nation to nation; a mighty storm is rising from the ends of the earth. At that time those slain by the Lord will be everywherefrom one end of the earth to the other. They will not be mourned or gathered up or buried, but will be like refuse lying on the ground. Look at Romans 1:18 it says The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world Gods invisible qualitieshis eternal power and divine naturehave been clearly seen being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Now look at Romans 5:9 it says Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from Gods wrath through him! For if, when we were Gods enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. Look at 1Thessalonians 5:9 it says For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. Look at Revelation 6:15 it says Then the kings of the earth the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and every free man hid in caves among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand? In closing look at 2Peter 3:10 it says But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed his coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness. Love Always,

Super Foods for Weight Loss Part 1

By Waller Jamison Many foods are being claimed as super foods for weight loss, due to the positive effect that they have on our health and their ability to help us shed the pounds. Not all of the foods which have these so-called powers are exotic or expensive, although some are new to us in the West. Fruits and vegetables have long been recognized as having the ability to assist weight loss, mainly due to their high fiber content which means they help us to feel full. Leafy green vegetables are also full of nutrients, both vitamins and minerals and so should form a major part of you diet, both when losing weight and when maintaining it. They are also the most accessible super foods for weight loss, in terms of availability and price. Protein is another super-food and it is the food group which will keep your blood sugar levels even for longest, which means you won't get hungry as quickly. Protein also offers staying power, and can boost your metabolism slightly in the process. You have to be careful which proteins you eat, and in what quantity, because like everything, if you eat more than you actually need, you'll end up putting on weight, instead of losing it. So be sure to eat lean meat and poultry without skin. And be careful with cheese as certain types have a very high fat content. It is also possible to find protein from plant sources, which have the advantage of a much lower fat content. You can find protein in soya beans and other soya products, such as tofu, and also in lentils, seeds and nuts. Beans have the added advantage of being full of fiber and so will also help you feel full. Most of us are used to drinking green tea if we go to a Chinese restaurant, but scientists now believe that there are chemicals in green tea which stimulate the body to burn calories. Salads, particularly if they contain lots of green vegetables are very low in calories and can fill you up. Just be careful when it comes to dressing - you can use lemon juice or balsamic vinegar as a substitute which will spice up the taste without piling on the calories.
Low fat yogurt is a useful source of protein which can help keep hunger at bay if you feel peckish between meals. Make sure you eat the sugar free type, preferably organic with active cultures, which are very good for the health of your digestive system.
Omega 3 fatty acids are also important for a healthy heart and are another element in your diet which help keep blood sugar levels even and so aid weight loss. They are found in fish such as salmon, sardines, herrings and mackerel. So be sure to ad these super foods to you diet.
Although super foods for weight loss are extremely beneficial additions to your diet, you must remember that they won't work magic and have to be eaten as part of a sensible weight loss program. Waller Jamison 2007 Kick start your weight loss with a New Weight Loss Strategy every week.
